Fall Migration, Part III

Yes, sequels, sequels, sequels, that's all anyone gives you now, and I'm no different. Also seen at Colonel Sam Smith park is this American Wigeon (sorry, no Canadian Wigeon), another male in breeding plumage. And of course these guys are just passing through Toronto on their way farther south. The weather has changed a lot since I took this, so more than likely this guy has headed south by now.

And just to show you how resilient wildlife can be, the wigeon population of North America was cut in half in the 1980s because of drought, and already it's completely rebounded. So there.
